For
this set.
Not totally sure if putting gifs on dw is something I want to do, considering they're just linked from my tumblr. There's no real archival benefit if something were to happen to tumblr. If anything, this just makes sure that I do know
how to actually format gifs on dw in case I ever wanted to do some for one of the fanwork comms on here.
And boy, that
generator is real handy. I am not html savvy enough to have done that on my own. I'm a little bummed I can't(?) get the w/h of the table cells to adjust for smaller windows/displays, but I guess that's just how dw works. It's not really designed for a comfortable mobile-viewing experience. If anyone is aware of how to do that though, definitely let me know. I fiddled with it for a bit but didn't get anywhere.
Re the gifs themselves, I'm not super happy with the quality. I admit my rip was not as hi-res as it could have been, I've since got some new files for any future sets that are 2160. I looked and saw a few sets that giffed that whole scene, which is so worth it. wow. scene of the ever. christ (
YT Link). But I really wanted to highlight the green in her trousers. I honestly think this is one of my favorite keeleyfits of the whole series. Very casual but very stylish.
I pulled up the green in the darker tones. It turned all of the black stuff a little bit green. The shadows, Roy's soccer mum car <3, her jacket, etc. Jamie's car is a dark wine color, so it actually ends up looking properly black, which is fun. Colors! I don't mind it though. I'm actually really happy with the coloring, at least on desktop. On mobile it's really freaking pink, which is fine. I must let it be fine lest I risk losing my mind.
I'm also not sure about the speed. These are on 60% speed, which I still feel is a little bit slow. I tried 50% first but it was way too choppy for my liking. I was fiddling afterward and tried 65%, which I do like much more. It's not very noticeable but it just makes everything run a little bit smoother. I will try some greater speeds later.
Considering I slapped this together in only a couple of hours I truly am not too unhappy. I love the coloring, and have some ideas of how to improve. Net gain I think.
